The performing arts have always been important to our family. The magical experience of entering into a fantasy world at PlayhouseSquare never gets old. I remember my first trip to see the Nutcracker as a kid and I can still remember my daughter’s face the first time I took her – MAGICAL! And getting to actually meet the Nutcracker after the play at the Pals party was absolutely icing on the cake! Being apart of PlayhouseSquare Pals has offered not only my children but the whole family a real connection to PlayhouseSquare. Rose Heathcote Saluting Those Who Make a Difference The staff at Playhouse square Foundation sincerely thanks the members of our donor family, who so graciously make a difference through their financial support. Because of their generosity: 45,000 students from Cleveland Municipal School District and other area districts will experience live theater- perhaps for the first time- when they attend a Discovery Theatre Series performance. 45,000 activity guides will be printed and distributed to teachers and parents so they can help their students and children learn and expand on their theater experience. 800 teachers will find out more about arts education opportunities and field trips for their students and learn about ways to find funding for those programs at our annual Fair on the Square event. 5,000 students who would otherwise be unable to attend a theater performance will receive free bus transportation to Playhouse Square. 1,500 adults and students will be able to participate in Master Classes given by cast and crew members from Broadway Series performances.
