Join us for our next 2009-10 Small Non-Profit Series event. Veteran Northeast Ohio blogger George Nemeth will discuss how non-profits are using social media, the importance of intentional conversations and how you can get started.
Employees and leaders of non-profit organizations, along with students of non-profit management, are invited to attend this free professional development series. Enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres during an informative and interactive discussion. Be sure to bring your questions!
Speakers:
George Nemeth, Chief Blogging Officer at Brewed Fresh Daily and Founder and Community Catalyst at Cleveland Social Media Club
The Small Non-Profit Series is presented through the partnership between PlayhouseSquare and WVIZ/PBS and 90.3 WCPN ideastream.
Calling All Teen Poets to the Mic
Slam U, PlayhouseSquare's annual series of spoken word poetry events for teens, starts up on January 15, 2010. Share your work, make some new friends, eat some pizza and maybe earn a spot on the team that will head to the International Youth Poetry Slam Competition in July. We're looking for some writers who are ready to be leaders too! If you have what it takes, you can be a Slam U Peer Mentor and get paid.
Download a PDF of this year's Slam U brochure and peer mentor application here. To receive a brochure by mail, please send a request to artseducation@playhousesquare.org. Be sure to include your name and mailing address.
College STARS and STARS Volunteer Opportunities
We are no longer accepting applications for our STARS (Students Take A Role at the Square) volunteer programs for this season. To be added to our mailing list for next season, please send an e-mail with your name and mailing address to artseducation@playhousesquare.org.
